Wohlford tagged with MLC Defensive Player of the Week honors
MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin's Garrett Wohlford has been named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced.
Wohlford (Rochester, Minn.) had an outstanding 84.0 save percentage during a pair of MLC victories for the Falcons. The senior goalkeeper made 13 saves and saved 81.3 percent of the shots faced and picked up 10 ground balls in a 10-3 win at Aurora on Wednesday. He then had eight saves and an 88.9 save percentage while picking up eight ground balls in a 9-4 road win at Monmouth on Saturday.
This is the second conference weekly honor of the season for the netminder and 10th of his career.
