Men's Golf was on the upward trend

MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin's season was cut short like many other spring sports because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but their fall portion of the schedule was highlighted by great success and some record-setting performances.

The opening tournament of the season saw junior Wyatt Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) fire a 1-under par 70 during the second round of the Edgewood Culver's Fall Classic on August 31, which was a stroke shy of tying the program record.

Just a month later, the Falcons had great success at the MSOE Invitational on September 29-30. Senior Andrew Otto (Kewaskum, Wis.) carded a 2-under par 70 during the second round, which was again a shot short of tying the program's 18-hole round record. He also shot a 144 36-hole total (74-70) to set a new program record by three shots of the previous 36-hole low set a year prior.

Concordia Wisconsin signed for a 292 during the first round of the MSOE Invitational, which was two shots from tying the program record for low 18-hole team round. During the round, they counted scores of 71, 73, 74 and 74.

In all, five rounds of 72 or lower were shot during the fall, with four of those coming in under par.

Otto led the roster with a 76.5 scoring average, while five other teammates had averages in the 70s.

Senior Sam Schlosser (West Bend, Wis.) ends his career with the program's career record for scoring average at 77.56 over the course of 59 rounds. He won two tournaments, including the NACC Championship 2017-18, while also placing top-5 six times and top-10 seven times. Schlosser was named NACC Player of the Year his sophomore year.

Otto concludes his career with the second-lowest scoring average in program history with a 77.70 over 53 rounds. He won one tournament, was top-5 six times and top-10 12 times.

Senior Adam Kern (Osco, Ill.) also ends his career, competing the last two years for the Falcons and averaging 92.6 with one top-10 finish.
