Men's Golf places third at WLC Fall Invitational

HARTFORD, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin finished third in a rain-shortened Wisconsin Lutheran Fall Invitational at Washington County Golf Course. The Falcons were led by Nate Benjamin and Wyatt Wilderman who each shot a 74 and finished in a tie for sixth.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The event was supposed to be 36 holes, but Sunday got washed out because of heavy rain all morning, making the event's scores from Saturday final. In addition, this tournament's format was different in that six golfers competed on a team with the top five counting. Normally, its five with the top four counting.
- Concordia Wisconsin fired a 381 team score which resulted in a third-place finish.
- Junior Nate Benjamin (Tucson, Ariz.) shot a 2-over par 74 and had three birdies and 11 pars throughout his round. Sophomore Wyatt Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) carded a 2-over par 74 as well, with three birdies and 10 pars.
- Sophomore Jordan Carlton (Kewaskum, Wis.) and senior Sam Schlosser (West Bend, Wis.) each had a 5-over par 77 and tied for 16th. Carlton made two birdie putts and nine pars, while Schlosser recorded three birdies within the last five holes of his round.
- Junior Dylan Karvala (New Berlin, Wis.) signed for a 79 and tied for 25th. He tallied two birdies and nine pars.
- Freshman Austin Ramos (New Berlin, Wis.) ended with an 87 and made six par putts.
- NACC foe Edgewood on the team trophy with a 379 score and Jordan Knutson (Carthage) won medalist honors by three shots with a 2-under par 70.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- The Falcons will travel to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin for the 36-hole MSOE Fall Invitational at Grand Geneva Resort starting on Sunday.
