Men's Golf competes at Midwest Region Classic

GALENA, Ill. -- Concordia Wisconsin finished in a tie for 14th at a difficult Midwest Region Classic on Saturday, while Dylan Karvala led the lineup with a tie for 30th at Eagle Ridge Resort.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin finished with a two-day total of 637, which included a 316 in the opening round and a 321 on Saturday. They finished in a tie for 14th place and was the fifth NACC school on the leaderboard.
- Junior Dylan Karvala (New Berlin, Wis.) fired back-to-back rounds of 77 to finish with a 154 total and tie for 30th out of 194 golfers.
-  Junior Nate Benjamin (Tucson, Ariz.) carded a 77-78 for a 155 total and found himself in a tie for 38th on the leaderboard.
- Sophomore Jordan Carlton (Kewaskum, Wis.) had an 81-78 for a 159 total, which put him in a tie for 60th.
- Freshman Carsten Zange (Robins, Iowa) signed for a 169 total (81-88), while senior Adam Kern (Osco, Ill.) had a 176 score (86-90).
- NACC foe Aurora won the team trophy with a 36-hole total of 591 (297-294).
- Dawson Hinz (Edgewood) won medalist honors by two strokes after shooting an E-par 144 total (73-71).

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- The Falcons will compete in the two-day, 36-hole Wisconsin Lutheran Fall Invitational on September 21-22 at Washington County Golf Course in Hartford, Wisconsin.
