Men's Golf, Otto set program 36-hole records

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin finished in second place as a team and Andrew Otto recorded a third-place finish at the MSOE Invitational on Monday afternoon at Grand Geneva. The Falcons and Otto set program 36-hole scoring records.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin led the tournament after 18 holes of play by four shots, but was unable to hang on to the lead and finished in second place with a 591 total (292-299). The Falcons 36-hole total is a new program record.
- Senior Andrew Otto (Kewaskum, Wis.) recorded a third-place finish after shooting a 144 total (74-70), which is a new program record by two strokes for a 36-hole event. His round of 2-under par 70 on Monday was a stroke shy of tying the program's record. During his second round he drained a pair of eagle putts, to go along with two birdies and 10 pars.
- Sophomore Jordan Carlton (Kewaskum, Wis.) ended in a tie for 11th place with a 149 total (73-76). Throughout his 36 holes of competing, he made eight birdie putts.
- Senior Sam Schlosser (West Bend, Wis.) was atop the Falcons lineup after the opening round with a 1-under par 71 and ended in a tie for 19th position. He tallied third birdies and 24 pars during the tournament.
- Sophomore Wyatt Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) tied for 23rd and had 151 total strokes (74-77). His efforts included three birdies and 23 par putts made.
-  Junior Dylan Karvala (New Berlin, Wis.) finished in a tie for 25th and had 152 strokes (76-76). He also had three birdies and 21 pars.
- NACC foe Edgewood won the tournament with a 588 total.
- Garvin Paper (Dubuque) won medalist honors by a stroke with a 142 total.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- Concordia Wisconsin will compete in the first two rounds of the NACC Championship beginning on October 6 at Whistling Straits - Irish Course.
