Men’s Basketball Duo Earns CSC Academic All-District Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – On Tuesday morning, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its CSC Academic All-District Team for men's basketball. The Concordia Wisconsin men's basketball team landed two honorees to the team with Jared Jurss and Grant Karsten.

The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The duo joins Jordan Johnson as CSC Academic All-District selections.

A senior from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Jared Jurss boasts a 3.67 grade-point average in his pursuit of a masters in Business administration.

Jurss leads the nation In assists per game at 7.7. He also finished the year with 326 points, 185 assists, 100 rebounds and 31 steals.

A senior from Decatur, Illinois, Grant Karsten has a 3.96 grade-point average in business finance.

Karsten finished the season with 232 points, 72 rebounds, 14 steals, 12 assists and two blocks.

The duo advance onto the ballot for the opportunity to be voted as Academic All-Americans.
