DE PERE, Wis. – The Falcons fell short on Tuesday night in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference fight. The Green Knights sank CUW 72-53 to send the Blue and White to 6-14 and 3-9 in the NACC.
St. Norbert struck early and never let the Falcons back in.
The Green Knights pushed the lead up to 39-12 with 3:20 left in the first half.
CUW trimmed the halftime deficit to 39-20 with an 8-0 run to close the half.
Senior Jared Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.) assisted on a basket from senior Matt LeVene (Manitowoc, Wis.) for his 700th career assist.
The Falcons continued to fight and cut the SNC lead to 11 points on two occasions with baskets from Matt LeVene and Jared Jurss.
Jurss and LeVene led CUW with 11 points each. Jared Jurss also had four assists to lead the flock.
Senior Gabe Pruss (North Fond Du Lac, Wis.) picked up 10 points and five rebounds.
Junior Sam Meerstein (Green Bay, Wis.) led CUW with six rebounds.
The Falcons continue their road trip on Saturday at Benedictine.
