Boettcher honored by NABC for academic excellence

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Brett Boettcher was recognized by the National Basketball Coaches Association for academic excellence, the organization announced. The exercise physiology major was the lone representative for Concordia University Wisconsin.

The forward was impressive in the classroom with a 3.97 grade point average. He also exceeded all the requirements for the award by having: junior/senior status, playing on the varsity roster and maintaining the minimum of a 3.20 grade point average.

Boettcher, a native of New Holstein, Wis., had one of best rebounding seasons in program history during 2014-15. He tied the program's single season record for defensive rebounds with 156 and had three double-doubles during the season. He also scored double-digits in 11 contests.
