Men's Basketball helps Soles for Jesus package shoes for Africa

MILWAUKEE – Concordia University Wisconsin's men's basketball team helped Soles for Jesus on Monday package shoes for those in need in Tanzania, East Africa.

The Falcons spent a couple of hours bundling shoes with rubber bands and writing the shoes sizes on the bottom for easier distribution when they arrive in Tanzania.

"Sometimes we take for granted the basic things we have in life, such as shoes." head coach Shawn Cassidy said. "Taking a few hours as a team to pack shoes in boxes is important because it will benefit those who really need them in Africa. Any chance we get to help those in need will be there to do our part as a team."
