Falcon men upend Concordia Chicago on the road 79-63

RIVER FOREST, ILL.-  A terrific 19 point Concordia Wisconsin (6-5/ 3-1NAC) run that began midway through the first half was the catalyst for a road win over outmanned Concordia Chicago (1-10/ 1-4 NAC) Wednesday evening.

The Falcons trailed 12-11 before their six minute surge put them up 30-12.  By halftime the CUW lead had been trimmed slightly to 38-22 but the tone had been set.

Shawn Cassidy's team dominated the glass (46-27) and also made hay at the free throw line as they pulled away to leads of up to 25 points during the second half before settling for the 79-63 finale.

Senior Mark Pace (Milwaukee, Wis.) led CUW with an 18 point effort and reserve Boubacar Camara (Jr./ Senon, France) had his best performance to date with a 15 point outing.

CUW was a crisp 20-24 from the free throw line, but sloppy with the basketball, accumulating 24 turnovers.

The Falcons host Benedictine at 4:15pm on Saturday as part of a doubleheader with the CUW-BenU women matching up at 2:00pm.
