Falcon men start a new streak
Ann Arbor, MI
The final score was actually misleading as CUW (17-3) led at one
point in the second half 82-44 before settling for an 86-66 win
over Concordia- Seward in the consolation round of the CIT.
Shawn Cassidy's troops led 44-17 by halftime and played 17 separate
players before the rout was over.
Skip Newton-Kemp, who represented CUW on the all-tourney team, led
all scorers with 24 points while Luke Doedens added 16 and reserve
Steve Zielinski notched 10 for CUW.
The Bulldogs, who came in with a 13-8 record, shot a miserable 17%
in the first half, but built up their overall game stats against
Falcon third stringers.
