Women’s Tennis continues winning streak at Marian

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin traveled to Marian on Monday and came away with a 7-2 win extending their winning streak in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons began the match by winning two of the three doubles competitions. Sophomore Hannah Tresedder (Kingsford, Mich.) and junior Michaela Wagner (Oswego, Ill.) continued their doubles winning streak defeating their opponent 9-7 at No. 2 doubles.
- In the singles matches, CUW won five out of the six matches. Sophomore Sabine Jacobsen (Palantine, Ill.) defeated her opponent 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3 singles and Wagner won her match 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.  
- In the No. 2 and No. 6 singles matches, Tresedder and junior Alisia Macioch had close first games winning 7-5 but then won their second games in commanding fashion 6-1.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Tresedder and Wagner are now 4-0 in conference play at No. 2 doubles.
- Freshman Bailey Kelly (Racine, Wis.), Jacobsen, Tresedder, Macioch and Wagner all remain unbeaten in conference singles play.

UP NEXT FOR CUW
- The Falcons continue NACC play at 10 am on Saturday September 19 as they travel to Concordia Chicago and then play again at 2 pm at Dominican.
