NEWSWORTHY NOTES
• LAST MEETING: Elmhurst was able to walk away with a 36-11 dual win in CCIW action last year on December 8, 2016. The Bluejays seven of the 10 bouts, including two by fall and two by technical fall. Concordia Wisconsin's wins came from Eli Were, Mason Mergener and John Hinson.
• SLATTON CLOSING IN: Mitchell Slatton is closing in on cracking the program's all-time list for career wins. He has 50 career victories and one more will put him in a tie for 21st all-time. Slatton is 8-6 this season, with four wins coming by fall.
• STRETCH OF DUALS: Thursday night's dual against Elmhurst begins a stretch of seven-consecutive duals for Concordia Wisconsin, the longest of the season. They have previously competed at Lakeland in a CCIW dual, falling 28-19.
• CCIW PRESEASON POLL: Elmhurst received half of the eight first-place votes in the CCIW Preseason Poll to tie for first place, while Concordia Wisconsin was picked to finish in seventh place.
