Wrestling drops CCIW dual at Lakeland

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin won four bouts on Thursday night, but dropped a 28-19 CCIW dual on Thursday night inside Woltzen Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin started off the match strong with a 21-5 technical fall victory from sophomore Matthew Saldana (Long Beach, Calif.), which was followed by a sophomore Ramiro Vasquez (Yuma, Ariz.) win by fall in two minutes and six seconds to push the visitors in front 11-0 on the scoreboard.
- The following three out of four matches were forfeited by the Falcons, while the Muskies won the 157-pound weight class by fall in 5:31.
- Senior Mitchell Slatton (Granger, Ind.) was able to get a bout in his favor with a technical fall win, 17-1, at 197 pounds. Junior Sam Olson (Waukesha, Wis.) ended the match with a 6-2 decision win a heavyweight.
