Women's Cross Country Takes the Crown at St. Norbert

GREEN BAY, Wis. – It was an amazing start to the season for the Concordia Wisconsin women's cross country team. The Falcons took the team title at the St. Norbert Tom Berry Invitational on Saturday morning.

The hot weather could not slow down the Falcons with two top-five finishers.

Freshman Emma Ahrens (Stephens City, Va.) finished fourth at 19:14.46.

Senior Alicia Kawa (Medford, Wis.) shined in her return to the Green Bay course in fifth place at 19:34.67.

In 12th place was sophomore Ainara Sainz De Rozas (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) at 20:07. (08.

Sophomore Abigail Poehlman pushed through the finish line at 20:15.59 in 14th place.

Sophomore Melanie Arvis (Berwyn, Ill.) clocked in at 20:25.27 in 16th place.

In 22nd place was sophomore Danielle Van Grinsven (Appleton, Wis.) at 20:42.89.

Junior Ella Stader (Oostburg, Wis.) secured a 27th-place finish at 20:53.81.

Senior Anessa Yim (Spokane, Wash.) locked into 37th place at 21:16.69.

Finishing in 41st place was freshman Faith Konzak (Cedar Grove, Wis.) with a time of 21:22.69.

Senior MaryGrace Cleinmark (Danvers, Ill.) finished the day in 49th place at 21:45.80.

Senior Abigail Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) and freshman Kylee Camble (Cudahy, Wis.) finished back-to-back in 59th and 60th place respectively at 22:10.41 and 22:10.59.

Freshman Sarah Tinder (Fredonia, Wis.) took 70th place with a time of 22:38.11.

Freshman Abigail Lange (Pleasant Prairie, Wis.) was in 72nd place on Saturday at 22:44.06 ahead of sophomore Elizabeth Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) in 76th place at 22:48.66.

Freshman Bailee Schlender (Brillion, Wis.) booked a time of 22:55.38 in 78th place.

Freshman Hailey Foster (Pewaukee, Wis.) finished in 83rd place after a 23:02.67 performance.

Senior Holly Klomhaus (Poplar, Wis.) crossed the line at 23:20.42 in 91st place.

Freshman Sydney Leschisin (Turtle Lake, Wis.) rang in a time of 23:59.44 in 99th place.

In 101st place came freshman Mikayla Becker (Plantation, Fla.) at 24:30.45.

Freshman Alexandria Blankenship (Medinah, Ill.) rounded out the flock in 117th place at 25:59.23.

The Falcons return to the shores of Lake Michigan on Saturday for the Ken Weidt Classic.
