Falcons Represent Well at Rose Hulman DIII Pre-Nationals Meet
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Concordia University Wisconsin women's cross country team enjoyed a unique experience competing in a night race at the Rose Hulman DIII Pre-Nationals meet among some of the best DIII cross country programs.
The team finished 17th out of 44, amassing a total score of 489 points, while MIT took first with a score of 56 points.
Junior Melanie Arvis (Berywn, Ill.) led the Falcons and clocked in at 22:27.18 for an impressive 43rd place overall.
Following closely was junior Ainara Sainz De Rozas (Madrid, Spain), who finished 67th overall at 22:51.09.
Senior Alicia Kawa (Medford, Wis.) secured third for CUW, crossing the finish line in 23:06.52 to take 86th overall.
Meanwhile, sophomore Emma Ahrens (Stephens City, Va.) debuted her season, finishing with a time of 23:41.34.
Junior Danielle Van Grinsven (Appleton, Wis.) was the fifth Falcon to finish, recording a time of 24:40.79.
Sophomores Mikayla Becker (Plantation, Fla.) and Abigail Lange (Pleasant Prairie, Wis.) followed with times of 24:58.54 and 25:24.02, respectively.
Rounding out the team were sophomore Kylee Camble (Milwaukee, Wis.), senior Ella Brill, and junior Elizabeth Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.). Camble finished in 26:00.12, while Brill and Van Rixel followed closely behind with times of 26:55.19 and 26:57.34, respectively.
The Falcons will now gear up for the Wisconsin Private College Championships, set to take place on October 19th.
