
Falcons Post Program-Best Finish at NCAA Regionals
NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's cross country team had its best-ever performance at the NCAA Division III North Regional Championships on Saturday. The Falcons finished in eighth place as a team with 212 points. Wisconsin-La Crosse claimed the team title at 63 points and Hannah Preisser of Carleton was the individual champion
Junior Ainara Sainz De Rozas (Madrid, Spain) claimed All-Region honors in 15th place at 22:35.4.
Junior Melanie Arvis (Berwyn, Ill.) finished in 27th place at 22:51.8 to also claim All-North Region accolades.
In 36th place was sophomore Emma Ahrens (Stephens City, Va.), who had a time of 23:09.3.
Senior Alicia Kawa (Medford, Wis.) clocked in at 23:13.1 to finish in 40th place.
Junior Danielle Van Grinsven (Appleton, Wis.) grabbed 95th place with a recorded time of 24:33.3.
Sophomore Mikayla Becker (Plantation, Fla.) brought in a time of 24:52.4 in 110th place.
Sophomore Abigail Lange (Pleasant Prairie, Wis.) rounded out the flock in 163rd place at 26:15.4.
The Falcons' best finish had been 10th place in 2015.
The NCAA will announce the qualifiers for the 2024 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Sunday.
