Women’s Cross Country runs virtually at Regent Relay

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's cross country team ran in the Regent Relay virtually on Tuesday afternoon on the campus of Concordia Wisconsin. The Falcons placed second out of 10 teams that competed with 11 points.

Each relay was broken down into teams of two individuals with the athletes alternating each mile with every individual completing three miles.

The CUW athletes did their run around campus on Tuesday afternoon.

The "ankle biters" team of senior LaNea Bartel (Kewaunee, Wis.) and sophomore MaryGrace Cleinmark (Danvers, Ill.) had the fastest CUW time at 36:56 in second place.

In ninth place was the "H & M" team of sophomore Madison Chiappetta (Lenexa, Kan.) and senior Honey Rose Macatuno (Kodiak, Alaska) clocked in at 40:55.

The team named the "purrfect pair" finished at 41:01 with freshman Anessa Yim (Spokane, Wash.) and senior Alden Goucher (Port Charlotte, Fla.) in 10th place.

The "soul sisters" team of freshman Abigail Van Rixel (Athens, Wis.) and freshman Holly Klomhaus (Poplar, Wis.) rounded out the CUW lineup in 16th place at 42:16.

Each duo came up with their team name.

Edgewood won the event with six points
