Triathlon finishes at USA Triathlon East Regional Qualifier
SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE, Va. – The CUW triathlon team was one of seven NCAA Division III teams to compete at the USA Triathlon East Regional Qualifier on Saturday. The Falcons finished in sixth place with 67 points.
Sophomore Aimee Uebersetzig (El Cajon, Calif.) led CUW with a 16th-place finish. She finished with a time of 1:16:23. She had the fastest CUW swim (12:26) and run (24:26).
In 18th place was freshman Janneke Bannink (Shorewood, Wis.) at 1:17:16. She recorded the fastest-Falcon time in the bike at 34:33.
Senior Meghan Klement (Mukwonago, Wis.) finished in 36th place with a time of 1:26:29.
Crossing the finish line at 1:32:38 was freshman Anna Scholer (Carmel, Ind.) in 43rd place.
Junior Frances Jensen (Muskego, Wis.) finished the swim with a time of 14:55.
The Falcons finish the year at the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championship in Tempe, Arizona, on Nov. 16.
