Triathlon Competes at the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championships
TEMPE, Ariz. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's triathlon team competed at the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championships on Saturday.
Senior Janneke Bannink (Shorewood, Wis.) led the birds in 30th place at 1:19:50.9. Bannink had a swim time of 12:56, a bike time of 41:05 and a run time of 24:35.
In 46th place was senior Kathryn Ousdigian (Shoreview, Minn.) at 1:22:53.9. She finished the swim at 14:10, the bike race at 43:18 and the run at 24:08.
Sophomore Ashley Mayer (Kaukauna, Wis.) finished in 66th place at 1:26:57.5. She recorded a time of 18:18 in the swim, 43:19 in the bike and 24:10 in the run.
Senior Adelyn Smith (Gleason, Wis.) secured 72nd place at 1:28:49.8. Smith posted a swim time of 14:34, a bike time of 43:47 and a running time of 29:00.
Freshman Anya Mattke (Fox Point, Wis.) was in 85th place at 1:31.00.9. Mattke finished the swim at 13:42, the bike portion of the course at 47:52 and the run at 28:07.
In 83rd place was senior Sara Vandermolen (Elmhurst, Ill.) at 1:35:47.6. She finished the swim at 19:36, the bike at 44:48 and the run at 29:50.
Junior Sarah Baker (Fox Point, Wis.) rounded out the flock in 97th place at 1:39:57.9. Baker brought in a swim time of 13:28, a bike time of 49:58 and a run time of 34:49.
The Falcons will return to action in the fall of 2024.
