Triathlon Takes on the USA Triathlon West Regional Qualifier

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Concordia Wisconsin triathlon team competed at the USA Triathlon West Regional Qualifier on Saturday in Missouri. The Falcons competed against student-athletes from all divisions. North Central finished in first place of the NCAA Division III schools.

Senior Janneke Bannink (Shorewood, Wis.) finished in 84th place at 1:20:42.93.

In 89th place was senior Kathryn Ousdigian (Shoreview, Minn.) at 1:22:43.26.

Senior Adelyn Smith (Gleason, Wis.) secured a 103rd-place finish at 1:28:49.34.

Freshman Anya Mattke (Fox Point, Wis.) claimed 107th place at 1:30:24.20.

Sophomore Ashley Meyer (Kaukauna, Wis.) finished in 111th place at 1:32:12.03 ahead of senior Sara Vandermolen (Elmhurst, Ill.) in 112th place at 1:33:25.98.

Junior Sarah Baker (Fox Point, Wis.) brought in a time of 1:42:55.53 in 116th place.

Freshman Kayla Thurman (Waukee, Iowa) collected a 120th-place finish at 1:51:23.18 in 120th place.

The Falcons will compete again for the USA Triathlon Division III Championships in November.
