Triathlon ran at Tri the Illini on Sunday

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Falcons competed at Tri the Illini on Sunday morning to get in one more competition before the regional qualifier, later this month.

Tri the Illini consisted of a 300-meter swim, a 14-mile bike ride and a 5-kilometer run.

Other Division III schools that CUW competed against were Transylvania, Millikin University, MSOE and North Central (Ill.)

Freshman Janneke Bannink (Shorewood, Wis.) led CUW with a time of 1:15:31.2.

Freshman Anna Scholer (Carmel, Ind.) secured a time of 1:29:31.4 on Sunday.

Junior Michella Robles (Kenosha, Wis.) clocked in with a time of 1:40:26.8.

The Falcons will compete next at the USA East Region Qualifier on Oct. 19 in Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia.
