CUW Finishes Shamrock Invitational

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The CUW women's track & field team wrapped up the weekend at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on Saturday afternoon. With a competition that was represented with student-athletes from NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA and Canada, Coastal Carolina won the competition with 36 points.

Sophomore Anessa Yim (Spokane, Wash.) finished 10th in the 3000-meter run at 11:45.13.

Junior Sadie Silva (Plymouth, Calif.) secured a 25th-place finish in the high jump at 1.38 meters.

Junior Hannah Ebel (Mount Clemens, Mich.) crossed the finish line at 1:17.49 in the 400-meter hurdles in 28th place.

Sophomore Aubrey Thiede (Slinger, Wis.) reached 8.93 meters in the triple jump in 31st place. Freshman Kalleigh Schroeder (Bonduel, Wis.) finished right behind her at 8.69 meters in 32nd place.

Junior Jenna Zahorik (Reedsville, Wis.) led the flock in the 200-meter dash in 33rd place at 26.78. Sadie Silva was in 59th place at 28.46.

The Falcons return to action on April 2 at the Wisconsin Private College Championship at Carroll.
