Women's Track & Field Runs at Whitewater

WHITEWATER, Wis. – The CUW women's track & field team competed at the Wisconsin-Whitewater Rex Foster Twilight Invitational on Sunday. The Falcons took 10th place with nine points at Whitewater. The Maroons of Chicago won the competition with 226 points.

The 4x400 meter relay team of junior Lindsay Pluister (Woodridge, Ill.), junior Madison Chiappetta (Lenexa, Kan.), sophomore Sarah Birenbaum (Cascade, Wis.) and sophomore Naomi Gahan (Cedarburg, Wis.) finished in fifth place at 4:36.55.

Sophomore Sabrina Moore (Park Ridge, Ill.) was the fastest Falcon in the 200-meter dash at 28.82. Junior Hannah Ebel (Mount Clemens, Mich.) finished in 13th place at 29.14.

In the 100-meter dash, Sabrina Moore finished in ninth place at 12.90. She had a qualifying time of 12.78.

Sophomore Aubrey Thiede (Slinger, Wis.) reached 1.33 meters in the high jump in ninth place.

CUW had five runs in the top-25 in the 800-meter run on Sunday. Senior LaNea Bartel (Kewaunee, Wis.) ran a time of 2:37.52 in 10th place. Naomi Gahan was in 14th place at 2:42.95, Sarah Birenbaum brought home a time of 2:47.75 in 17th place, junior MaryGrace Cleinmark (Danvers, Ill.) claimed a 22nd-place finish at 2:54.55 and Rosa Roloff rounded out the flock at 3:08.45 in 25th place.

Lindsay Pluister put together a time of 1:16.13 in the 400-meter hurdles in 10th place.

LaNea Bartel led the flock in the 1500-meter run in 11th place at 4:58.85. Sophomore Anessa Yim (Spokane, Wash.) finished in 21st place at 5:26.57 and Abby Van Rixel was 28th at 5:52.54.

Madison Chiappetta clocked in at 1:05.92 in 12th place in the 400-meter dash.

Junior Paige Winterfeldt (Roseville, Minn.) whipped up a 12th-place mark of 8.96 meters in the triple jump.

In the 5000-meter run, junior Micah Hill (Camdenton, Mo.) crossed the finish line at 21:30.11 in 12th place.

Junior Alexandria Hood (Grayslake, Ill.) led the flock in the 100-meter hurdle in 14th place at 17.39. In 16th place was Hannah Ebel at 17.46.

The long jump saw Sabrina Moore secure a 14th-place finish at 4.26 meters. Sophomore Catherine Romine (Whitmore Lake, Mich.) finished with a mark of 3.94 meters in 19th place.

Catherine Romine roped in a 21st-place finish in the javelin at 22.94 meters. Junior Hanna Podbielski (Richfield, Wis.) was in 26th place at 21.79.

The Falcons return to action on Thursday at the WLC Warrior Invite.
