NEWSWORTHY NOTES
• THE BEST MONTH FOR THE FALCONS: Concordia Wisconsin always seems to be at or near the top of the conference in the past few years. It could be contributed to their dominating wins that come in April. Since 2014 the Falcons have gone 30-10 in April and so far this season they are 4-0 with all of them coming against conference opponents. They are averaging 15 goals-per-game, while only giving up double-digit goals in one game against Wartburg (10).
• GETTING INTO SCORING POSITION: The Falcons rank first in the MWLC for shots on goal with 299. Getting into the teeth of the defense is key for Concordia Wisconsin's offensive attack as they also own the top spot in Goals-per game with 13.17.
• SCOUTING ILLINOIS WESLEYAN: The Titans have been heating up in the past month. They are owners of a five-game winning streak that includes a 12.8 goal differential throughout those games. The Titans are a team that likes to move the ball as they rank first in assists per game with 7.85 and points per game with 22.0.
• THE SERIES, LAST TIME: The last time these two teams battled was only one other time, that happened across the border with Illinois Wesleyan was the host. IWU came away with the close 9-6 victory and took first-ever matchup between the two schools. The Titans were able to fend off the Falcons as they tried to climb out of a three-goal hole in the second half.
