Falcons Finish Day One of Whitewater Fall Invite

JANESVILLE, Wis. - The CUW women's golf team traveled to Wisconsin - Whitewater to compete in the Whitewater Fall Invite.

The Blue and White finished with 380 strokes on day one which slotted them in eighth place.  Wisconsin - Whitewater currently leads their own tournament with 314 total strokes.

Senior Rebecca Curley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.) led the flock with 89 total strokes, placing her in 21st overall.

In second place for the Blue and White was freshman Shauna Grahn (New Berlin, Wis.) with 94 strokes and a 29th-place finish.

Right behind Curley was sophomore Elizabeth Montaba (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) with a score of 95 strokes on day one which came with a 32nd-place finish.

Rounding out the Falcon team were senior Megan McPike (Mequon, Wis.) and sophomore Kaylee McCarty (Adell, Wis.) with scores of 102 and 111 strokes respectively, and 37th and 40th-place finishes respectively.

The Falcons look to battle back on Saturday for day two of the Whitewater Fall Invite.
