Women's Basketball falls in CIT Championship to Concordia Nebraska

RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Concordia Nebraska slowly pulled away in the second half on Saturday en route to a 75-53 victory over Concordia Wisconsin in the Concordia Invitational Tournament Championship game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons and Bulldogs went back and forth in the first half, featuring four lead changes and two scoring ties, before Concordia Nebraska took a slim 29-28 lead into the locker room at halftime.
- Concordia Nebraska took over the in the third and fourth quarters, pushing its advantage into double-figures. The Bulldogs ended the game shooting 49.1 percent (28-of-57) from the field and held the Falcons to 36.0 percent (18-of-50).
- Senior Megan Coenen (Green Bay, Wis.) led the Falcons with 11 points and eight rebounds, and was named to the All-CIT Team.
- Senior Madelyn Landgraf (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) tallied 10 points, while freshman Baylee Barker (Oconomowoc, Wis.) added nine points and stole two passes. Freshman Shelby Otto (Greenleaf, Wis.) also had two blocks.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Bulldogs finished with a 24-9 lead in points off turnovers, but were outrebounded 35-29.

THE OPPOSITION
- Quinn Wragge led all players with 20 points, while Becky Mueller added 15 points. Brenleigh Daum also scored 13 points.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- The Falcons return to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play on Tuesday with a 7 pm tipoff against Lakeland inside the R. John Buuck Field House.
