Women's Basketball Helps Soles For Jesus Packaging Shoes for Africa

Milwaukee- Concordia University Women's Basketball spent this past Monday morning at Soles for Jesus, an organization providing much needed shoes for people in sub-Saharan Africa.

The Falcons spent several hours at the Milwaukee collection site, during which they bundled shoes with rubber bands and labeled them with sizes. The shoes were then packaged and distributed easier when they arrive in Africa.

"Shoes are something that we easily take for granted, but many people do not have the same luxury," head coach Stacy Brunner-Jones said. "While packing shoes may seem simple, Soles for Jesus provided us with a great opportunity to give back to the community and help those who truly are in need."
