Men's Cross Country Ran Well in 2022

MEQUON, Wis. - The Concordia Wisconsin men's cross country posted a solid 2022 campaign in the fall. The Falcons competed in six races.

The Falcons' highest performance of the year came at the Ken Weidt Classic and Wisconsin Private College Championships, taking fourth in both races. 

On October 1, at the Ken Weidt Classic, the Falcons placed fourth with 111 team points and were led by freshman Preston Meier (Owatonna, Minn.) as he placed 46th with a time of 29:28.1. 

Meanwhile, at the Wisconsin Private College Championships on October 15, the Blue and White took fourth with 131 team points. Junior Tim Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) led the flock and placed third in the race with a time of 26:09.0, helping him claim First Team All-State honors. Also, in that race, Preston Meier finished 33rd, and Avery Horvath (Greenwood, Wis.) took 43rd.

At the NACC Championships, Tim Brey claimed the silver medal and took home All-NACC honors as he finished second at 26:26.9.

Brey continued his successful individual performance at the NCAA North Regionals on November 12 in Northfield, Minnesota, as he received All-Region honors finishing in the top-35 in 33rd place at 25:28.1.

The Falcons will take the summer to train in preparation for their 2023 season.
