Men’s Cross Country Collects a Third-Place Finish at Carthage

KENOSHA, Wis. – The Falcons battled at the Carthage Firebird Classic on Friday. The Falcons finished in third place as a team with 84 points. The host Firebirds won the competition with 31 points.

Sophomore Tim Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) was the second-fastest collegiate runner at 27:49.1.

Sophomore Richard Schaefer (Racine, Wis.) secured a 14th-place finish at 28:22.5.

Freshman Dominic Willadsen (Sheboygan, Wis.) crossed the finish line at 29:51.9.

Sophomore Jack Ramstack (Colgate, Wis.) clocked in at 31:34.6 in 67th place.

In 73rd place was sophomore Joshua Peterson (Palatine, Ill.) at 32:12.3.

Freshman Matthew DiMercurio (Florissant, Mo.) led a flock of Falcons in 76th place at 32:46.7. Freshman Leo Roemer (Whitefish Bay, Wis.) was in 78th place at 32:59.2, just ahead of sophomore Ryan Klug (Arlington, Va.) at 32:59.4 and Easton Becker in 82nd place at 33:19.2.

Senior Derrick Folkman (Bonduel, Wis.) rounded out the CUW runners in 94th place at 35:48.7

CUW will next compete at the Wisconsin Private College Championships on Oct. 16.
