Falcons Finish Fifth at NACC Championships

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's cross country team posted a solid performance at the NACC Championships on Saturday morning. The Falcons finished in fifth place with 165 points. The Raiders of MSOE claimed the team title with 40 points.

Sophomore Tim Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) earned All-NACC honors with a fifth-place finish when he shattered his personal-best time at 26:28.73.

Freshman Dominic Willadsen (Sheboygan, Wis.) finished in 39th place at 28:39.70.

In 51st place was sophomore Richard Schaefer (Racine, Wis.) at 29:11.58. Just ahead of senior William Ebel (Macomb, Mich.) at 29:19.67 in 54th place.

Freshman Joshua Peterson (Palatine, Ill.) crossed the finish line at 29:43.43 in 64th place. Edging out sophomore Easton Becker (Ankeny, Iowa) in 65th place with a personal-best time of 29:49.01.

Sophomore Jack Ramstack (Colgate, Wis.) recorded a personal-best time of 30:19.55 for a 72nd-place finish.

Sophomore Ryan Klug (Arlington, Va.) collected an 80th-place finish at 31:40.58.

The Falcons posted a back-to-back finish with freshman Matthew DiMercurio (Florissant, Mo.) in 84th place at 32:11.61 and freshman Leo Roemer (Whitefish Bay, Wis.) in 85th place at 32:18.03.

Senior Derrick Folkman (Bonduel, Wis.) clocked in at 33:21.25 in 92nd place.

The Falcons will compete at the NCAA Division III North Regional Championships on Nov. 13.
