Men’s Hockey lands 10 NCHA All-Academic selections

DULUTH, Minn. – The Concordia University Wisconsin men's hockey team had 10 players named to the NCHA All-Academic Team on Thursday by the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association league office.

"We are extremely proud of the effort our guys put into academics," said head coach Jasen Wise. "We strive to be leaders in the classroom and on the ice. These 10 men are excelling in both. They are great examples for others to follow."

The 10 players the Falcons put on the All-Academic list was fifth most in the NCHA. In order to qualify for All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must be of at least sophomore status academically and have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.

The senior trio of Adam Fauchoux (Prince Albert, Sask.), Stefen Seel (Invermere, B.C.) and Eric Therrien (Willow Bunch, Sask.) earned the honor all three years that they were eligible. The Falcons were three of the 22 representatives that earned the academic distinction for the third time in their careers.

Claiming the honor for the second time in their careers were junior Josh Adkins (Victoria, B.C.), senior Connor Hogg (London, Ont.), and junior Jake Switzer (Swansea, Ill.).

Sophomore Andrej Buchko (Peoria, Ill.), sophomore Dakota Delbridge (Tracy, Calif.), sophomore Nick Guiney (Victoria, B.C.) and junior Jim Pearson (Ashton, Ont.) all earned the honor for the first time this season.
