No. 9 Adrian rallies to down Men’s Hockey

MEQUON, Wis. – The number-nine ranked Bulldogs of Adrian rallied with five third-period goals to burst any chance of CUW post-season play. CUW fell 5-3 to move to 7-14-4 on the year.

Senior Connor Hogg (London, Ont.) tipped in the second goal from junior Jake Switzer (Swansea, Ill.) and junior Josh Adkins (Victoria, B.C.).

Freshman Bo Didur (West Vancouver, B.C.) came up with some big point-blank shots in the first period.

The Falcons were able to kill off all three penalties in the first period.

The CUW defense kept the 'Dogs off the scoreboard in the second period with a pair of penalty kills.

Adrian scored on a goal that trickled into the CUW net to open the third period.

The Bulldogs tied the game two minutes later.

Sophomore Nick Guiney (Victoria, B.C.) broke the tie on a breakaway from Taylor Gauld and sophomore Braydon Barker (Red Deer, Alta.).

The Bulldogs evened the game at three on the power play.

Adrian broke the tie with just over two minutes to play and scored the final goal on an empty net.

Bo Didur finished with 39 saves.

Adrian outshot CUW on Friday, 44-16.

CUW closes the season on Saturday on Senior Day against Trine.
