Men's Golf excels at Marian Spring Invitational

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin was two shots down after the opening round on Saturday and clinched the tournament title with rounds of 308-303 -- 611. They tied with host Marian, but the difference was the fifth score for the Falcons was lower. Their round of 303 is two shots off the lowest round this season.
- Junior Andrew Otto (Kewaskum, Wis.) took second place with a 4-over par 148 (74-74), which was a shot better than teammate Sam Schlosser (junior, West Bend, Wis.) who had a 149 (75-74) two-day total. Otto ended with five birdies and 25 pars, while Schlosser recorded six birdies and 19 pars.
- Sophomore Dylan Karvala (New Berlin, Wis.) came in a tie for sixth place after signing for a 157 (80-77) 36 hole total. He had a birdie on the 10th hole in round one and made 23 pars, including the first seven holes during Sunday's round. Senior Jacob Tenlen (Montreal, Wis.) also tied for sixth place with a 157 (79-78), which included a pair of birdie putts and 20 pars.
- Sophomore Wyatt Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) was the third Falcon who tied for sixth with a 157 (79-78) score. He competed as an individual and tallied five birdies and 18 pars.
- Sophomore Nate Benjamin (Tucson, Ariz.) competed as an individual and in a tie for ninth after carding a 160 (78-82) total, which was the result of a birdie and 23 pars. Freshman Jordan Carlton (Kewaskum, Wis.) recorded a 12th place finish with a 161 (81-80) score. He made four birdies and 14 pars.
- Senior Bailey VanHandel (Kaukauna, Wis.) was the last Falcon to score as an individual after a 171 (79-92) total. He sunk 19 par putts during the two rounds.
- Jake Sherwood (Marian) won medalist honors with a 3-over par 147 (75-72) total.
