Carlton takes fifth overall at WLC Fall Invitational

HARTFORD, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Golf team placed 3rd of 11 qualifying teams at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Fall Invitational. Falcons' freshman Jordan Carlton shot +3 to place fifth overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Jordan Knutson of Carthage College led all competitors with the only sub-par score for the tournament. Knutson shot 142 (73-69) to finish -2.
-Edgewood's team won the tournament with a score of 737 (374-363) to finish +17. Carthage placed second with 762 at +42.
-Carlton (Kewaskum, Wis.) rallied from a 76 shot day one for a 71 shot round on day two of the tournament to earn fifth overall with a score of 147 at +3.
-Sam Schlosser (West Bend, Wis.) followed Carlton for the Falcons, shooting rounds of 77 and 73 to finish with 150 at +6.
-Andrew Otto (Kewaskum, Wis.) and Bailey VanHandel (Kaukauna, Wis.) each shot 156 to place t29, while Nate Benjamin (Tucson, Ariz.) rounded out the top five Falcons scores with 157 to finish t33.

-The Falcons host the CUW Triangular with MSOE and Carthage on Wednesday, September 26, at the Fire Ridge Golf Club.
