HOW IT HAPPENED
- Junior Sam Schlosser (West Bend, Wis.) was in rhythm on Friday, firing a program-record-tying 69 (3-under par) to tie a record set by teammate Andrew Otto nearly two seasons ago. The righty then carded a 79 in the second round to finish in a tie for fourth place, which is his fourth career top-5 finish. In addition, his 148 total for 36 holes was a shot shy of tying the program record.
- Concordia Wisconsin ended with a program-record 611 total for the 36-hole event, which included a 301 opening round score which was the third lowest in program history. The previous 36-hole record was set in October of 2016. The Falcons sat in second place after Friday's round and fell one spot to finish in third overall.
- Sophomore Dylan Karvala (New Berlin, Wis.) moved up five spots on the leaderboard after shooting back-to-back 76s to tie for 10th place. He was in a tie for 15th after the first round. Junior Andrew Otto (Kewaskum, Wis.) signed for a 154 total 976-78) and ended in a tie for 13th. He moved up two spots on the leaderboard Saturday.
- Senior Jacob Tenlen (Montreal, Wis.) shot rounds of 80-76 to tie for 20th position. He competed as an individual, so his scores didn't count for the team total.
- Sophomore Nate Benjamin (Tucson, Ariz.) finished with rounds of 80-79 (159 total) to place 36th on the leaderboard that featured 112 golfers.
- Sophomore Wyatt Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) had the biggest improvement in the lineup, going from an 88 on Friday to a 77 on Saturday and moving from tied for 80th to finish in a tie for 52nd.
- Kirkwood Community College won the team trophy with a 4-over par 580 (286-284) two-day team total. Ryan Morrison (Kirkwood) won medalist honors with a 4-under par 140 (68-72) total.
