Falcons Record Another Strong Week

MEQUON, Wis. – In their third week of action, the CUW esports team posted a positive record for the second consecutive week, going 5-4 across six games.

The Super Smash Bros Ultimate squad kicked off the week for the Blue and White as the Falcons made quick work of Radford and secured the 2-0 victory. But on Tuesday, CUW's SSBU team fell 0-2 to the Pioneers of Carroll University.

Wednesday saw the League of Legends team tally another win for CUW as they defeated the Wildcats of Kansas State with a comfortable 2-0 victory. Wednesday also saw the NBA 2K squad pull off the 3-1 over the New England Institute of Technology, claiming CUW's first 2K win in esports program history.

Overwatch resumed competition on Thursday as they took on Purdue in a doubleheader. After falling in the first match 1-3, the Falcons bounced back in round two to shut out the Boilermakers and take the 3-0 victory.

After a quick break from competition, Rocket League was back in full swing as they took on the Carthage College Firebirds on Friday. Carthage would get the best of CUW and take the 3-0 win. Later in the evening, the Call of Duty battled against Old Dominion in a match that would see the ODU come away with a 3-0 victory.

Friday also saw Super Smash Bros Ultimate return to action and defeat the University of Pittsburg with a score of 2-1 to improve to 2-1 on their week.

Meanwhile, both the Valorant and Rainbow Six Siege squads had bye weeks.

"We're cruising right along. This week, we went 5-4 overall. We're settling in a little bit more and improving each week," head coach Jack Slater said of his team's performance. "I expect us to remain highly competitive as we continue to push and work hard through the season."

Action for Concordia Wisconsin esports will roll on next week as the squad will look to make it three straight weeks of winning records.
