Meijer Moment of the Week – October 31
MEQUON, Wis. – This week, we continue our Meijer Moment of the Week for the 2022-23 season presented by Meijer "Higher Standards, Lower Prices."
On Saturday, the women's volleyball team took on the defending National Champion Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds. The Blugolds came into the matchup ranked 14th in the nation.
The Blue and White were fresh off a NACC Regular-Season Championship with a 3-2 victory over the Lakeland Muskies.
The Falcons made quick work of the Blugolds with a three-set sweep that saw set scores of 25-18, 25-22, and 25-23.
The flock recorded 46 kills on the afternoon with a hitting percentage of .327. They added 11 service aces and eight assist blocks.
This was the 30th home victory in a row for the Blue and White ranging back to October 19, 2019.
The NACC Tournament runs through Mequon and the Falcons will put that streak to the test with the No. 1 seed in tournament play starting on Thursday.
