Maya Hielscher Closes Competition at North Central
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Tuesday marked the final day of competition at the North Central Combined Events Qualifier.
Sophomore Maya Hielscher finished up the heptathlon with the long jump, the javelin throw and the 800-meter run.
She reached 5.06 meters in the long jump to start the day.
Hielscher then placed second in the javelin with a mark of 32.96 meters.
She then closed the day with a time of 2:55.05 in the 800-meter run.
The Macomb, Michigan native finished fifth in the competition with 4227 points.
