Falcons Finish Third at NACC Championships

RIPON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's track & field team finished the NACC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday. The Falcons finished in third place with 85 points. The Green Knights of St. Norbert secured the team title with 164 points.

Sophomore Maya Hielscher (Macomb, Mich.) earned the bronze medal in the 60-meter hurdles at 9.52. She was also fourth in the high jump at 1.54 meters.

Junior Sabina Moore (Park Ridge, Ill.) finished fourth in the 60-meter dash at 8.08. In sixth place was Maya Hielscher at 8.14 and senior Jenna Zahorik (Reedsville, Wis.) was seventh at 8.17.

Jenna Zahorik earned a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter dash at 26.82.

In the 800-meter run, freshman Melanie Arvis (Berwyn, Ill.) placed fifth at 2:28.09. She also led the flock in the mile run in fourth place at 5:19.23, just ahead of junior Anessa Yim (Spokane, Wash.) in fifth place at 5:30.91. Yim led CUW in the 3000-meter run in fifth place at 10:55.57.

The triple jump saw freshman Kate Kotula (Wyomissing, Pa.) finish in eighth place at 9.94 meters.

Senior Madison Chiappetta (Lenexa, Kan.) was the fastest Falcon in the 400-meter dash at 1:06.66 in 11th place.

Freshman Kailey Ramaker (Cedarburg, Wis.) led the birds in the shot put at 9.89 meters in 14th place.

The Falcons finished fifth in the 4x400 meter relay at 4:32.46.
