Maya Hielscher Posts a Magnificent Monday

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Maya Hielscher represented Concordia Wisconsin on Monday at the two-day North Central Combined Events on Monday. She posted a personal record in all four events on Monday.

A sophomore from Macomb, Michigan, Maya Hielscher competed in four of the events in the heptathlon.

The Michigan native started the day with a time of 15.35 in the 100-meter hurdles.

She led the high jump competition at 1.61 meters.

In the shot put pit, she finished with a mark of 8.23 meters.

Hielscher closed the day with a time of 26.57 in the 200-meter dash.

She is currently tied for first place with Emma Gruen of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with 2705 points.

On Tuesday, she will finish the heptathlon with the long jump, javelin throw and the 800-meter run.
