Sprotte's school record leads to NACC Weekly Award

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin junior Cassandra Sprotte was named the NACC Women's Track & Field Student-Athlete of the Week for the events of April 17-23, the league office announced Monday.

Sprotte (Abbotsford, Wis.) broke the school record in the 1,500-meter run, running a time of 4:35.32. Her time was the best in the NACC this season and ranks 10th nationally. The 4:35.32 also won the race which featured 35 runners. Amanda Kuca previously held the school record, running a 4:36.86 during the 2006 season.

Sprotte and the Falcons are back in action this Saturday at the St. Norbert Quadrangular. The meet is set to start at 10:30 a.m.
