Women's Track & Field opens outdoor season at Emory meet

ATLANTA – The Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Track & Field team opened its outdoor season by competing at the Emory Invitational over the past two days. The Falcons had some strong performances to kick off the outdoor season.

THE BASICS
- Falcons Score: 16th of 35 (19 points)
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons had a trio of fourth-place finishes, including Nora Imperl (Greenfield, Wis.) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. She completed the race in a time of 11:30.38. Imperl would add a sixth-place finish in the 1,500-meter run, finishing in 4:55.56.

- Chloe Eckstein (Reedsville, Wis.) also posted a fourth-place finish, hers coming in the discus. She landed a throw of 38.57 meters. Eckstein also finished 13th in the javelin throw.

- The final third-place finish for CUW came from Jennifer Miller (Freedom, Wis.) in the pole vault. Miller cleared 3.22 meters.

- Cassandra Sprotte (Abbotsford, Wis.) added an eighth-place finish in the 800-meter run for the Falcons. She clocked in at 2:21.31.

- The Falcons will be off next weekend but will return to action March 31 and April at the Wartburg College Outdoor Select.
