Falotico, Sprotte land USTFCCA All-Region recognition

The Concordia University Wisconsin Track & Field programs produced two All-Region performers in 2017. Earlier this week, the USTFCCCA announced the All-Region teams with Gavin Falotico and Cassandra Sprotte representing the Falcons in the Midwest.

To be honored as an All-Region performer a student-athlete needs to finish in the top five of their event regionally.

Falotico (Palatine, Ill.) earned All-Region in the javelin throw, an event he qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in. Falotico has a personal-best toss of 60.75 meters and has won the event each of the six times he competed this spring. He will conclude his 2017 season today at the national meet. The All-Region selection was the second for Falotico in two years and he is also a two-time All-Region performer in soccer.

Sprotte (Abbotsford, Wis.) earned her All-Region recognition in the 1,500-meter run, one of two events in which she set a new school record this season (800). Sprotte ran a season-best time 4:35.32 at the Augustana Viking Invitational in April and just missed out on qualifying for the national meet in the event. The All-Region honor was the first for the junior.
