Bolis breaks own school record, Women's Track & Field competes Friday

KENOSHA, Wis. – Irene Bolis broke her own school record in the 55-meter hurdles to help pace the Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Track & Field team Friday at the Tadd Metzger Invitational. In addition, the Falcons went 1-2 in the pole vault thanks to the duo of Jennifer Miller and Ariana Koehler.

THE BASICS
- Falcons Finish: 4th of 5 (105.5 points)

- Individual Titles: Jennifer Miller (Pole Vault – 3.20 meters); Nora Imperl (600 – 1:43.92)

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bolis (Marengo, Ill.) broke the 55 hurdles record her last time out and broke her own record on Friday. She ran a 9.46 in the finals for her new personal-best time.

- Miller (Freedom, Wis.) had another strong showing in the pole vault, clearing 3.20 meters for a win in the event. Koehler (Lake Geneva, Wis.) was strong as well, clearing 3.05 meters, while her sister Kailey Koehler (Lake Geneva, Wis.) finished fifth in the event (2.75 meters).

- Junior Nora Imperl (Greenfield, Wis.) won the 600-meter run with a time of 1:43.92. She edged out Taylor Tenca of Carthage by less than a second.

- Miller had a strong all-around day, also finishing third in the 55-meter dash. The sophomore ran a 7.56 in the finals. Teammate Colleen Sauvey (De Pere, Wis.) was fourth with a time of 7.61. Sauvey added a fourth-place finish in the weight throw with a toss of 15.12 meters.

- Sophomore Molly Wirtz (Stevens Point, Wis.) ran to a third-place finish in the mile, completing the race in 5:29.86.
