RINK NOTES
- The Falcons began the 2017-18 season with a 1-1 weekend, splitting games against UW-Superior and Saint Benedict. CUW opened with a 2-1 setback against UW-Superior before rebounding with a 3-1 win against Saint Benedict. The Foresters dropped two against No. 8 St. Thomas.

- The Falcons are 6-3-1 in home openers all-time. CUW has been impressive in recent home openers, posting a 3-0-1 record over the past four years, including a 2-1 victory last season over St. Norbert.

- CUW split its goaltending duties last weekend with Christina Pattengale starting the opener and Breanna Thomson getting the nod in game two. Each player started at least eight games last season and both should see plenty of time between the pipes in 2017-18.

- CUW had 11 different players record a point in the opening weekend. Of those, only Kristen Kennedy recorded two points, getting both in the win over Saint Benedict.
