Softball checks in at No. 8 in regional rankings

The Concordia University Wisconsin Softball team has been on a roll as of late. The Falcons, winners of eight straight, received some regional recognition this week as they checked in at No. 8 in the latest Great Lakes rankings.

CUW is the only NACC team to appear in the regional poll this week. The April 27 edition is the second of the season as Aurora was the lone NACC team ranked a week ago.

Four WIAC schools make up the top four teams in the region in UW-Whitewater, UW-Oshkosh, UW-La Crosse and UW-Eau Claire. Chicago is fifth followed by Illinois Wesleyan, Cornell, and the Falcons.

CUW has a big weekend of four NACC games coming up beginning with a 1:30 doubleheader against Benedictine tomorrow. The Falcons and Eagles are the top two teams in the NACC standings.
