Two from Softball land on All-Finlandia Dome Tournament Team

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Softball team posted a 3-1 record at the Finlandia Dome Tournament to begin their 2017 season back on February 25-26. On Tuesday, Finlandia released an All-Tournament team, which featured two Falcons, juniors Emily Brekke and Christine Sharon.

Brekke (Waterford, Wis.), who was also named the NACC Pitcher of the Week on February 27, had an outstanding start to her junior season. She pitched 17 of the team's 24 innings over the weekend and finished 2-0 with a 0.82 ERA. Brekke allowed just 12 hits in 17 innings of work and tossed a pair of complete games.

Sharon (Cornell, Wis.) was also named to the All-Tournament Team after hitting a pair of doubles over the weekend. She scored two runs and drove in two while reaching base at a .500 clip. Sharon also finished the four games with a perfect fielding percentage in 19 chances.

The Falcons will return to the diamond next week for a 10-game Florida trip which spans over six days. The first two games of that trip are set for Saturday.
