Pitch Pass: Men's Soccer hosts MSOE in NACC Tournament Semifinals

MEQUON, Wis. – Following a NACC Regular Season Men's Soccer Championship, the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons are ready to begin the NACC Tournament Tuesday against MSOE. The top-seeded Falcons are looking to get back to the NACC Finals for the first time since the 2012 season.

THE BASICS
- Who: No. 5 MSOE (11-6) vs. No. 1 Concordia Wisconsin (11-3-3)
- Where: Fitting Field – Mequon, Wisconsin
- When: Tuesday, October 31st (2:00 p.m.)

PITCH PASS
- The Falcons are the top seed in the NACC Tournament for the second time in the past three years. In 2015, CUW was upset by No. 4 Dominican in the semifinals by a 3-2 score.

- CUW and MSOE met two weeks ago with the Falcons going on the road and escaping with a 3-2 overtime victory. Luis Loya scored the golden goal, the third overtime winner for the Falcons during NACC regular season play.

- The Falcons have posted a 5-2-2 record at home this season and have won their last three at Fitting Field. MSOE is 6-2-0 away from home, including a 2-0 first round win at Aurora Saturday night.

- Dagoberto Diaz was outstanding in NACC play this year, producing 33 points in 10 matches. The junior midfielder scored 11 goals and assisted on 11 more in NACC contests. He played a role in half (22 of 44) of the Falcons goals during NACC regular season.

- CUW is 7-11-1 in NACC Tournaments, having appeared in every one since the league began in 2006. The Falcons last NACC Tournament win came in 2013, a 3-2 victory over MSOE at Fitting Field. MSOE is 9-7-1 and are playing it its 10th NACC Tournament.
