Carrolan's 5 goals propels Men's Lacrosse past Cornell

MEQUON, Wis. – Eric Carrolan had a career game on Saturday afternoon, netting five goals to help Concordia Wisconsin to a convincing 12-5 victory over Cornell at Fitting Field during Midwest Lacrosse Conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Following a 2-1 lead after the opening quarter, the Falcons poured it on with seven-consecutive goals over the next 24 minutes to blow the game wide open. During the scoring outburst, freshman Eric Carrolan (Pleasanton, Calif.) had four goals in the second period, including three in a row that spanned two minutes and 20 seconds.
- The victory was the third in a row and the second-straight at home for CUW, who are one of two remaining undefeated teams in the MLC.
- The Falcons dominated the box score, holding advantages in shots (40-18), ground balls (39-19) and faceoff wins (17-4). They also cleared 22-of-29 attempts and caused 13 turnovers.
- In all, eight players scored in the win and five ended with a goal and assist.
- Senior Danny Bundra (Lake Zurich, Ill.) won 14-of-18 faceoffs and picked up seven ground balls, while senior Zachary Doll (Kirkwood, Mo.) picked up five ground balls. Senior Mark Wilson (Calgary, Alberta) finished with a career-high-tying five caused turnovers.
- Freshman Garrett Wohlford (Rochester, Minn.) had six saves in goal to earn the victory.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Wilson's five caused turnovers are tied for the sixth most in a game in program history.
- CUW's home record improves to 4-1 at Fitting Field this season.

THE OPPOSITION
- Jack Bilenduke and A.J. Fisher each had two goals for the Rams.
- Steve Janaes and Tory Terbilcox each picked up four ground balls. Janaes and Jesse Coppess each caused a pair of turnovers.
- Evan Kedjidjian made 15 saves in goal during a complete game losing effort.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- The Falcons continue their four-game home streak to end the regular season on Wednesday with a 4 pm matchup against MSOE.
